As part of the execution of "Communal Fund", the new Community Health Centre of the town of Pignon, located in the department of Nord, is now complete.

Located in the borough of Saint-Raphaël, Pignon was part of one of the 140 municipalities in the country without such an infrastructure. The deputy Nelson Hidson and Mayor Dioda Calixte, expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing efforts of the Martelly Administration to provide the country with sanitary facilities.

According to the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE), Laurent Lamothe, also Prime Minister several constructions of Community Health Centres are nearing completion across the country including :

The construction of a Community Health Centre in the town of Roseaux in the department of Grand Anse whose state of progress is more than 56%;

The construction of a Community Health Centre in the town of Baron in the department of North whose state of progress is more than 70%;

Construction of Community Health Centre of Bostage in the Municipality of Dondon in the department of North whose state of progress is more than 70%;

The construction of a Community Health Centre of BONAMI in the town of Grande Rivière du Nord in the department of North whose state of progress is also more than 70%;

The construction of the Community Health Centre of Bois Neuf in Saint-Raphael in the department of North whose state of progress is 80%;

The construction of a Community Health Centre in the municipality of Arniquet in the South department whose state of progress is more than 68%;

The construction of the Community Health Centre "Deye Fò" in the city of Cays in the Southern Department, whose state of progress is more than 90%.

Note that all these health centers will be equipped with laboratory, pharmacy, delivery room and of consultation, of room for preventive care, including an observation room and archives. These constructions, financed from Communal Fund (overall budget of 1.4 billion Gourdes - 10 million gourdes per commune), confirms the commitment of the Minister Lamothe to put the country on the path of progress in terms of health.
