Friday, Dominican President Danilo Medina has gathered at the National Palace in Santo Domingo with the National Council of Migration. Was present among others: Gustavo Montalvo, Ministers of the Presidency, Francisco Javier Garcia, Minister of Tourism, Maritza Hernandez, Minister of Labour, Gonzalo Castillo, Minister of Public Works, Freddy Hidalgo, Minister of Public Health, Sufrido Pared Perez, Minister of Defence and José Ricardo Taveras, Director of the immigration Service.

José Ramon Fadul, the President of the Council and Minister of the Interior, after a meeting of of more than an hour declared that discussions focused on issues related to the National Plan for the regularization of foreigners, that the various state agencies concerned are putting in place, and also about the Haitians, who claim to be victims of the decision of the Constitutional Court.

Recall that the first meeting of the High Level Commission between the Dominican Republic and Haiti, will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11:00 in the town of Ouanaminthe. Note that this Commission will meet monthly and that the next meeting should be held in Santo Domingo.
