Sunday on the Champ de Mars will take place the official celebration of Commemoration of fourth anniversary of the earthquake of January 12, 2010, a celebration that will be marked by an ecumenical service in the presence, among others, of government officials, local elected officials and members the diplomatic corps.

President Martelly will lay a floral offering on the site of the mass grave of Saint-Christophe (town north of Port-au-Prince), where were buried thousands of our brothers and sisters who died tragically on that fateful day.

A minute of silence will be observed at 4:53 pm (Haiti time) the precise moment when the earth was trembling in Haiti. A balloon drop is scheduled to the memory of hundreds of thousands of disappeared.

As part of this celebration the Museum of Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH) offers to the public 3 Exhibitions (from January 9 to 19): "New Look on the Future", "The Word Alive" and "Survivors".

"New Look on the Future" in MUPANAH informs of the progress of reconstruction work part of the great achievements of the Haitian government underway across the country ; "he Word Alive" at the National Library, focuses on life, widely celebrated by Haitian artists ; "Survivors" presents anthropological and archaeological works saved by the National Bureau of Ethnology after the earthquake and works of sculptors and painters and Pascale Faublas and Papouch representing a contemporary view of the tragedy of 12 January 2010.

Friday 10 and Saturday 11, tours will also be organized for the local and international press in downtown Port-au-Prince, and the visit of constructions carried out in "Zoranje" and Morne Cabris.

Also note that a religious ceremony will take place on Sunday, starting at 8:00 am at the Hotel Montana (street Frank Cardozo, Petion-Ville) to pay tribute to the fallen of 12 January 2010.
