Haiti - Diaspora : The Ambassador of Haiti in Mexico invites to reflection

The Ambassador of Haiti to Mexico, Guy G. Lamothe, salute the Welcomes the Haitian community in Mexico on this January 12, the day of commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the earthquake that hit the country Jan. 12, 2010.

"Your diplomatic mission took the opportunity to salute the memory of many missing while renewing its sympathy to all the victims who survived, the parents of the victims and to all Haitians who have suffered and continue to suffer from this tragedy.

The Embassy of Haiti in Mexico wishes to remind the Haitian community that Mexico was one of the first countries to come in assistance of the Haiti population in the early days after the earthquake. Since then, Mexico has not ceased to show support to the Haitian government, which is now determined to rebuild the country.

On behalf of the President of the Republic HE Joseph Michel Martelly and the Government of Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico invites fellow established in Mexico to collect in this day and to work, to the extent of their possibility, to rebuild our dear Haiti.

It is important to remember that date but equally important that every Haitian is committed to working for this kind of tragedy, though inevitable, does not cause as much destruction and desolation."

Furthermore, we inform you that a Mexican association of African descendants, will lay a wreath flower, this Sunday January 12, to the Angel de la Independencia on the Reforma Avenue, in memory of the victims.
