Haiti - Education : National Day of School Statistics

The National Day of School Statistics (JNSS), established since April 20, 2012, by the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), will take place this Friday, January 31, 2014, according to the school calendar 2013-2014.

This initiative is part of a new strategic approach to collecting data on schools, through school principals of the country, to produce statistics regularly on schools. It also aims to update the database on educational institutions across the country and facilitate decision-making at strategic levels.

The school directors will have to complete a questionnaire prepared by the Directorate of Educational Planning, for this purpose, the Ministry requires to department managers to take all appropriate steps to accompany those responsible for public schools and not public for the full success of this day.

Funded by UNESCO, the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), a budget of more than 12 million gourdes is available for the whole capture and data processing. 6.5 million gourdes will be devoted to the sole day of Friday.
