Tuesday, within the framework of inter-Haitian dialogue, under the mediation of the Episcopal Conference of Haiti (CEH) the political parties, despite deep divisions https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10453-haiti-politic-a-compromise-for-the-elections-found-at-the-inter-haitian-dialogue.html finally decided that the elections combined, will not be organized by the Transitional College of the Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP), but by a Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

This Electoral Council "new formula" would be like in the case of CTCEP, composed of representatives of the three branches (Executive, Legislative and Judicial). Participants have not excluded to replace some representatives to be designated by the authorities concerned.

While the former CEP, rejected during long months of crisis, by the political parties, was finally replaced at the end of negotiations on 24 December 2012, under the mediation of "Religions for Peace" by the CTECP https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-7489-haiti-cep-an-agreement-was-finally-signed-between-the-executive-and-parliament.html that is, so now that the Provisional Electoral Council "new formula" has the support of these same political and parliamentary parties.

It now remains to political parties to agree on this formula with the executive in order that the agreement is signed, what, according to Evans Paul of the "Konvansyon Inite Demokratik" (KID), should not be a problem...
