Invitation to which adheres the Head of the Vatican, which should benefit of its next tour in Latin America, to stop in Port-au-Prince.

During this interview, the Pope Francis reaffirmed its love for Haiti and the Haitian people. Aware of the problems confronted by the country, he said he wanted to give priority to the poor, hence the symbolism of this visit to Haiti. He also mentioned the need for closer collaboration between the State and the Church for the benefit of the entire Haitian population.
