After the training and deployment of more than 1,000sports animators in school throughout the country https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10342-haiti-sports-reintegration-of-sports-practice-in-schools.html the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) reaffirms, through the organization of Inter School Football Championship organized by the Departmental Directors of the Ministry, his commitment to support young people, encouraging sports participation and continue to work on the development of sport in Haiti.

Friday, took place the opening of the Inter School Football Championship in front of thousands of young people who filled the stands of the Sports Centre of Carrefour. After the parade of the delegations of the participating teams, the opening ceremony was marked by several shows of Cheerleaders and the participation of dance groups ACJAF and GLAMAR who presented a series of choreographies.

From 14 March to 30 May, 20 secondary schools and colleges, divided into 4 groups will compete each weekend the 2014 edition of the competition.

Composition of Groups :

Groupe A :

Collège Raphael Valmond, Lycée Louis Joseph Janvier, Collège Malcolm X, Collège Elie Blaise, Institution Mixte La Perfection

Groupe B :

Institution Mixte Poly-Dor, Institution Mixte Le Luxe, Collège Univers Frère Fleuricin, Collège Evangélique Indigène d’Haïti, Collège Eddy Pascal.

Groupe C :

Collège Victor Barolette, Centre d’Etudes Jacques Stephen Alexis, Collège Mixte Sorbonne, Collège Frère Lusson, Collège du Bicentenaire.

Groupe D :

Institution Mixte Alexandre le Grand, Institution Mercier Thamar, Collège Intelligentsia de Carrefour, Collège Anilus Jean Schiller, Institution Frère Mathelier.

Note that 200 educational institutions participate since October 2013 to inter-school competitions of football, basketball, volleyball, tennis and chess in different departments and regions allowing the school youth to recreate healthy by engaging in sports.
