Wednesday, the Presidency has taken note of the signing of the Agreement Inter-Haitian of El Rancho by all parties to the dialogue. "This successful conclusion paves the way for the establishment of administrative and political structures to lead the organization of legislative and local elections, fair, inclusive and democratic, whose the first round should take place no later than the last Sunday of the month of October 2014," says the President.

The Presidency congratulated in a special way, "the Mediator", the Episcopal Conference of Haiti (CEH), represented by His Eminence Cardinal Chibly Langlois, "Who has been able with delicacy and flexibility, brilliantly lead the negotiations to a successful conclusion."

In addition, the President is pleased that there has been proposed for the first time in our history, on the recommendation of the President Michel Martelly, the participation in the elections, of members of the diaspora holders of a valid electoral card. Recalling that the final decision on the matter, belongs exclusively to the Council responsible for the organization of elections.

The Executive Branch has reiterated its commitment to respect, in time, all the provisions of the Agreement within its competence and hoped that other parties do the same for their case.

The Presidency of the Republic reiterated its appreciation and its warmest thanks to all those who, in a great patriotic spirit, have made ​​possible what seemed impossible and expressed the hope that "this first become customary in approaches to conflict resolution and inter-Haitian political differences for the good being and advancement of the common country."
