Haiti - Culture : Exhibition «Depuis 200 ans..?»

Haiti's National Archives and the Foundation for iconographic research and documentary invite you to visit the exhibition "Depuis 200 ans... ?" which takes place under the tonnelle of the FOKAL 143 Christopher Avenue, Port-au-Prince, from March 28 to April 9, 2014 (9:00 am to 4:00 pm). A presentation by Patrick Vilaire and Jacques F. Oriol of the Foundation for iconographic and documentary research, who stress that "this exhibition that we consider as a duty of historical memory, aims to correct a negative image of Haiti, restore some truths essential especially rehabilitate, among the Haitians this sense of pride who inhabited the Founding Fathers."

"Representing the past on 70 tables reflects our gratitude to the Heroes of Independence, therefore, the invitation is open to public and private schools, to the universities, to form groups and come to contemplate the achievements that nobody would dare to compare to those of today."

With this exhibition, that presents to the ising generations some models of great leaders, great thinkers and great Haitian achievements, while highlighting the downside, we can no longer say that nothing good happened in Haiti since our first 200 years of existence as a people !
