Initially scheduled for 6 May 2014 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10885-haiti-politic3rd-postponement-of-the-binational-dialogue.html the high-level dialogue between the Dominican Republic and Haiti, repeatedly postponed will resume Thursday, May 8, 2014 according to official information from the Dominican Presidential Palace.

This postponement of two days, following a request of the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Elías Jaua (facilitator of this dialogue since January) for reasons of agenda preventing it from being present Tuesday, May 6, a postponement accepted by Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

In addition, the Dominican Presidency announced that for logistical reasons, the meeting originally planned to Jacmel, will be held in the city of Port-au-Prince. Note that the technical teams of the two countries have held several meetings to advance in the agreements to be reached in the next dialogue session.
