On the night of Thursday to Friday, a security guard committed suicide using his service weapon, a 12-gauge shotgun. The body guard was found lying in his blood Friday morning in the buildings of GOAL, an Irish international NGO dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poorest.

The man aged about thirty years, working from his colleague, for about three months for the security company PSS. According to witnesses, the man complained of family problems and important need of money and showed a great nervousness and signs of depression.

Representatives of the company PSS who reached the site, no commented this tragedy. The policy emphasizes the suicide theory but has opened an investigation.

This tragedy once again raises many questions about the methods of recruitment, training and psychological needs of the thousands of security guard working in over thirty companies in Haiti.
