Haiti - Reconstruction : Confirmation of funding for 1,000 housing units
The Support to the Plan of Intervention in the Housing sector (SPISH), undertook to finance the construction of 1,000 housing units in the Northeast. These units will be distributed on the sites of Terrier Rouge, Ouanaminthe and Caracol.
The amount of resources allocated for the implementation of this project amounted to more than 1.2 billion gourdes (1,242,557,062.70).
Funds committed, come and are managed by the following agencies and NGOs :
The Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) from funds generated from Grant Agreement (2318/GR-HA) signed with the Inter Bnaque Development Bank (IDB) to the tune of over 400 million Gources (457,932,062.70) ;
The International Development Assistance Agency of the United States (USAID) for an amount of 630 million gourdes ;
The NGO, Food For The Poor (FFP), for an amount of over 150 million gourdes (158,625,000.00).
