Young Haitian girls, of 10 departments and the Diaspora who wish to try their luck to become Miss Haiti 2014 (in accordance with the criteria) have until June 13, 2014 to register.

To apply, candidates must submit their paper for registration in one of the 10 Departmental Directorates of Tourism or send their application by internet, for the candidates of the diaspora, in order to be selected for an adventure that will allow them, who knows, to represent Haiti through international prestigious beauty contest.

The first phase of the competition for regional selection has started. In each of the 10 departments, two candidates will be selected to attend a training for 7 weeks to participate in the finals scheduled for 6 September in Port-au-Prince.

Candidacy criteria :

• Be a Haitian woman ;

• Be between 18 and 25 years ;

• Being single ;

• Do not have children;

• Physical criteria : height and weight proportional ;

• Minimum size 1m70 ;

• Have a valid Haitian passport (or be eligible to obtain one) ;

• Speak French and Creole and know the culture and history of the country ;

• Education : minimum BAC 2 ;

• Be available from July to September ;

• Never have committed a crime or asking inappropriate gestures (photographs or films), which may cause embarrassment to the parties if disclosed at a later date ;

• Pay the registration fee of 2,000 gourdes (or 45 U.S. dollars).

The organizing committee of Miss Haiti 2014 received the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries to give the event a national scale. Miss and her princesses will have for their part the mission, to embody an aspect of the beauty of Haiti outside the borders.
