Haiti - Politic : The Prime Minister presents and files his 6-months balance
Monday, June 9, 2014, the opening of the second and last regular session of the 49th Legislature, where was present 69 deputies and 16 senators, was disrupted after the speech of Dieuseul Simon Desras, President of the Senate and the National Assembly and just before the intervention of the Prime Minister, by Senator Steven Benoit, who had requested the floor to denounce the repeated absence of the Head of Government of the many convocations of senators, saying "It's a lack of respect for Parliament in general and the Senate in particular," before leaving the room with two of his colleagues senators Pierre Francky Exius and Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé.
After this incident, the President of the Senate, has not failed to criticize in a speech, amon others, the government actions, the complicity of the international community, the Government's inability to stabilize the country and establish democracy, the slowness of the electoral process, the pre-electoral calendar setting the second round in January 2015, which is according to him a maneuver to get to the lapse of the Parliament in January 2015...
Following this speech, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe imperturbable, presented and filed in the office of the National Assembly the 6-months balance of his Government.
