In a note the Electricity of Haiti (EDH) announces that the commune of Grande Saline is now connected to the Grid of the EDH.

"The Directorate General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH) is pleased to announce that the Commune of Grande Saline is powered by the grid of the EDH since Monday, June 9, 2014,

in accordance with the promise of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Michel Joseph Martelly, made during its passage in the department of Artibonite, to electrify the Commune before the opening of the World Cup.

EDH therefore calls on the population of Grande Saline to go to the nearest EDH' Commercial Agency, to request a legal connection.

EDH relies on the cooperation of the population in order help it fight against illegal catches, and the regular payment of electricity bills, what will allowing the company to provide better service."
