The President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, has left the country, Thursday, June 19, to New York to attend a gala organized by the Happy Hearts Fundation.

During this prestigious event, the Award "Leadership Award for his transformational leadership after the devasting earthquake and commitment to uplifting the country's future through education", will be awarded to the Head of State.

The President of the Republic will return home Friday, June 20, 2014.
