Portugal-Ghana

The victory of Portugal [2-1] against Ghana is insufficient to prevent Portugal being eliminated. After an often awkward match, Portugal ahead in goals by the U.S., leaving the World Cup from the first round, the 3rd time in its history (1986 and 2002) and out by the back door like England, Italy and Spain. Boye to 30' scores against his own camps [1-0] in favor of Portugal. After a first busy period, after the break, Ghana equalized in the 57' with a superb center of Asamoah Gyan. But Portugal up in the cscore to the 80' on a point blank shot from the left Cristiano Ronaldo [2-1].

USA-Germany

Dominating in the first half, Germany despite numerous opportunities has not been able to impose defeated by a very defensive American formation. After the break Germany opened the scoring in the 55' with an impressive crossfire right 20 m of Thomas Müller. Germany is qualified and finished first in Group G, Americans are also qualified.

Belgium-South Korea

Held in check by the South Koreans who have given everything for their last match at the World Cup, Belgium had to wait until the last quarter of an hour to find a weakness in the opposing defense and opens the score to the 77', thanks to a strike from Jan Vertonghen [1-0]. South Korea has not lacked energy in this game, but efficiency and it leaves this World Cup without glory.

Algeria-Russia

Algeria has got the point that he missed to qualify for a draw [1-1] against Russia. This is the first time in its history, in four participations (1982, 1986 and 2010) that Algeria will play a 8th final in a World Cup. The match had however started badly for Algeria when Aleksandr Kokorin on a head opened the score [1-0] for Russia after only 6 minutes of play Throughout a half, the Algerians however believe the worst. After the break, after a balanced first period, Algeria resumed itsdomination on the match, while Russian had great opportunities they have never been able to complete, Algeria found the equalization [1-1] to the 60' with a head of Islam Slimani to second post.
