On Wednesday, Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, went to the residence of Manigat, in Plaine to present its sympathies and condolences to the widow of the former President, Mirlande Manigat, to his family and relatives.

The head of government took the opportunity to salute the memory of Professor and former President of the Republic, Leslie Manigat, he considers to be one of the greatest men in the history of this country, that a Nation produces once all generations.

This visit, which follows that of the President of the Republic, June 30, 2014, reflects the recognition of the government team to the contributions of Leslie Manigat, to the advancement of democracy, the country's development process and thinking Haitian.

For the Prime Minister, with the disappearance of former President Manigat "Haiti has lost a great man".

In memory of this great son of the country, the Head of State has declared three days of national mourning Thursday 3 Friday 4 and Saturday, July 5.
