On the occasion of the First Edition of the Prize of the Embassy of Haiti 2014, Ambassador designated Vanessa Matignon, of the Embassy of Haiti in France, has chosen 10 active members of the Haitian community in France to be decorated.

The objective of this Prize is not only to honor and thank some compatriots and friends of Haiti, who by their actions have contributed to a positive image of Haiti in France, but also to unite the Haitian community around a common goal: the promotion of Haiti in a foreign land.

More than 300 people : Haitian officials, countrymen, friends of Haiti, members of the press, celebrities; foremost among them, the Mayor of Les Cayes, Mr. Lameau Labady; (traveling in France), Chief Inspector of the Haitian Police, Mr. Midi Cyrille Henry, the professional footballer, Jean Eudes Maurice, took part in this delivery of Prize, garnished with storytelling, musical entertainment, speeches and projections of beautiful images of Haiti.

Nicole Tardivel / Prize of the Dean of the community

Work for more than thirty years in the Haitian Catholic community of Paris for a better integration of Haitians in France. Former President of the Association Maison d'Haiti;

Dr. Jonas Jolivert / Association Prize

Surgeon to the Clinic Clairval in Marseille, President of the Association Franco-Haitian of exchange and solidarity. History buff;

Mr. Bazile Pegguy / Entrepreneur of the Year

Former manager of the Hepitex record store, a founding member of FONDESA association. Co-manager of Presk'ile restaurant. Founder of the directory on the Haitian community in Europe;

Mr. Robert Philomé / Journalist Award

Former journalist with Radio Vision 2000 the RFI. Officiates now all weekend in France 24. Passionate of writing and reading, has just published "Exil au crépuscule" at Apopsix;

Mr. Pradel Saint-Fleur / Awards Radio presenter

Host the show 'Boulevard du compas' or over 20 years on Espace FM. Passionate of photography, he is at he initiative of Boyo Magazine and the concept of the Carnival of happiness and Troubacoustik;

Jean Jacques Pierre / Sporting Award

Central defender of Stade Malherbe Caen;

Mr. Sébastien Dussourd / Prize Friendship ranco-Haitian

Professor of history and geography. President of the Association 'comme une image' whose aim is to promote a better image of Haiti through actions of youth in insertion.

Ms. Kécita Madaleno Clénard / Prize of Creation

Passionate of fashion, she combines elegance and creativity and draws most of his art in his Haitian roots;

Mr. Frantz Philippe / Prize promoter of Haitian Music

More known as Fanfan Mizik. Fanfan operated by the organization of concerts and CD sales, for the promotion of Haitian music in the world for more than twenty years;

Mimi Barthélémy / Prize of the Artist posthumously

Great storyteller and writer of Haitian origin who contributed greatly to the spread of Haitian culture in France, died April 27, 2013.
