Haiti - Judo : Nadjeda and Ange eliminated

Nadjeda Gena and Ange Jean-Baptiste two student of 22 years and 25 years from the Cap-Haitien were eliminated, in the first round in the categories -78kg and -57kg at the world championships of Tokyo, despite an enormous commitment, but a cruel lack of preparation.

The participation of Nadjeda Gena and Ange Jean-Baptiste at these world championships of Tokyo, was made possible thanks to the assistance of the International federation of Judo and the organizers. "We came with our desire to compensate our lack of means" explained the trainer Marc Francilien. "Our athletes must continue to wear the colors of our country around the world and show a positive image regardless of our results".

Ernst Laraque, vice-president of the Haitian Olympic committee (COH), in preparation for the world championships in Paris in 2011, met the President of the French Federation, to request its assistance in order to make take part seven judoka of the Haitian Federation in this next competition.
