Faced with this absence and in accordance with the law (Article 30/77 of the Criminal Procedure Code), an arrest warrant was issued against the former President of Haiti

Despite the letter brought by Me Mario, to the investigating Judge Bélizaire explaining that his client had not received any summons to appear and therefore he could not appear before the judge, his explanations did not convince Me Bélizaire, which rest on the testimony of the bailiff Romuald Grand Pierre, which confirmed him the delivery of this mandate at the residence of the former President. Besides the bailiff Romuald Grand Pierre, challenge Me Joseph to contradict him.

According to Senator Desras Simon Dieuseul, as a former President of Haiti, Jean Bertrand Aristide, acting within the scope of his duties is not liable to theordinary court of law, but only to the high court. Recognizing, however, know nothing about the part concerning the charge of drug trafficking whose is accused the former President.

For the Senator Desras there is no doubt that this is a political persecution and that behind this whole affair lies a hand at the approach of elections.
