As part of the bilateral cooperation in support of Haitian municipalities, HE Tsai-chiu Hwang, Ambassador of Republic of China (Taiwan) in Haiti, delivered Wednesday at the Metropolitan Service of Solid Waste Collection (SMCRS) of Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities, a donation of 2 dump trucks for the collection of household waste.

These two dump trucks were offered by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Ambassador Hwang hoped that the SMCRS can make good use of this donation, to build local capacity among in the field of sanitation and waste management.

The Ministry of Interior has welcomed this gesture of solidarity of Taiwanese government and assured that these equipments will be distributed to Town Halls that have a major need to improve urban sanitation.
