As part of the activities of the International Youth Day 2014, celebrated in Haiti from 12 to 17 August 2014, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11809-haiti-social-international-youth-day-2014.html a delegation of young people from different backgrounds, accompanied by executives of the Directorate of Youth and Integration of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) visited the young with reduced capacity of the specialized center St. Vincent Center.

During the visit, which was attended by the Youth Ambassador of the CARICOM, Nikson Athis and representatives of the World Youth Parliament for Water : Andy Adolphe and Nicolas Floresta, the young took the time to know each other, share their experiences, problems, perspectives during exchanges marked by cordiality and mutual respect. They have participated to various socio-cultural activities before handing to each young of St. Vincent a hygiene kit as a gift.

For Woodly Simon, Director of Youth and Integration of Ministry, this visit is the starting point for a genuine process of integration of young people with reduced capacity in different integration programs of the Ministry. It is one of the initiatives for decision making at the strategic level in their favor.

Thursday these young people have done guided tours in detention centers of Delmas 33 of Petionville.

- Health education talks in associative spaces of the metropolitan area

Awareness on STI / HIV / AIDS, cholera, fevers in the crowded neighborhoods of the metropolitan area

August 17, 2014:

- Fair expo-youth and socio-cultural show at Place Boyer

- Official closing ceremony at the Hotel Montana
