Haiti - Tourism : Meeting around Jacmel Airport

Thursday, at a meeting conducted by Léopold Roumer, Director General of the National Agency of Civil Aviation (OFNAC), in the presence among others of Dithny Joan Raton, Director Southeast Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries and Christine Stephenson, Representative IBIDAA, a technical pre-analysis of the expansion options for Jacmel Airport was made. The main elements necessary to the considerations of extending the runway, were provided by the National Authority and OFNAC Airports (AAN).

The transfer from the airport to a new site more favorable for the development of air traffic was discussed. However, in the short term operation of the terminal as it currently exists is possible. Should be upgraded related facilities of the airport and accompany national or foreign operators in the right kind of aircraft to serve the destination. This project will be developed by the AAN and OFNAC.
