Thursday at the Primature, Andral Joseph, Director General of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) announced at a press conference, several important steps for the registration of vehicles, which come into force early next fiscal year.

Effective October 1, new license plates will be put into circulation. Each department will have its own color, which will facilitate the control of activities in the different regions. These new plates also apply to motorcycles;

From 1 October, is the return of two plates per vehicle, one in front and one at the rear (a measure which had been reduced to a single plate in 2009);

The sticker affixed to the windshield will no longer be required.

Moreover, Andral Joseph recalls that to get these new license plates, which will be presented soon to the public, users will first have to fulfill all of their royalties.

In order to offer more services, besides computerization of its offices, the Directorate of Traffic and Road Police (DCPR) will increase its points of sale and the DGI announces the opening of its offices on Saturday to facilitate payment to taxpayers.
