Haiti - Education : Payment in progress for the 2nd installment of funds to the private schools

The Ministry of Education, inform the school principals engaged in the implementation of Universal Schooling Program, Free and Compulsory (PSUGO) that the government has made ​​available to the Ministry, 450 million gourdes to ensure the finalization of the payment process of the 2nd installment of funds to the private schools that have signed the 2013-2014 engagement contract with the Ministry.

Meanwhile, the process of payment of the 3rd installment is already running and transfers of funds to the accounts of schools, will begin from the month of October, based on data collected at the schools concerned about the number of students, as agreed in the engagement contract.

In addition, the Ministry notes that steps have been adopted by the Government to avoid the continuing delays in the payment process. Thus, according to the forecasts of the 2014-2015 budget, the government has budgeted 4 billion gourdes allocated to PSUGO, unlike 2.3 billion gourdes last year.
