Marie Carmelle Jean Marie, Minister of Economy and Finance indicated that the 2014-2015 budget passed by the Chamber of Deputies on August 9 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11800-haiti-economy-lower-house-voted-unanimously-the-budget-2014-2015.html after disposals and reallocations of more than 3 billion gourdes and never a voted by the Senate, will be in effect from Wednesday 1 October, without taking into account of changes of deputies https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11900-haiti-economy-the-next-fiscal-year-could-begin-without-its-new-budget.html which for the Minister, are not consistent and contrary to the macroeconomic objectives pursued within budget and without the ratification by the Senate.

For the Senator Jean Charles Moïse "It's a hard blow" for the Senate who has no more power over the budget that will be adopted as it was tabled in Parliament.
