Haiti - Reconstruction : Laurent Lamothe in Washington DC

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, left the country to Washington DC at the head of a delegation composed among others of Marie Carmelle Jean-Marie, Minister of Economy and Finance, Charles Castel, the Governor of the Central Bank and Benito Dumay, the Director General of the National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) to participate in the Annual Meeting of Finance Ministers

of countries affiliated to the World Bank.

On Thursday, the Haitian delegation will attend the meeting of international donors, which will take place essentially around the issue of water and sanitation and solutions to be applied. The Haitian delegation, reinforced by the presence of the Ministers of Health, Public Works and technicians of the DINEPA, will present an action plan and of investment for the next two years in order to raise the necessary capital for increase water coverage and improved sanitation level of Haiti.

The overall plan that will be presented, that will extend over a period of 10 years requires a funding of 310 million dollars for its implementation.
