Friday, Me Jean Roudy Aly, the Director General of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) in the presence of Me Isaac Lithan, public prosecutor of that jurisdiction, the Dean Me Michel Glaude, of the Bar of the jurisdiction, of the Mayor of the commune of Aquin and numerous litigants, proceeded to the inauguration of the rehabilitation and expansion of the Court of First Instance (CFI) of Aquin.

The Commissioner and the Dean thanked the Minister of Justice, Jean Renel Sanon and Jean Roudy Aly who have contributed to improving the working conditions of judges in that jurisdiction. Now the TPI of Aquin has two spacious court rooms and five investigation offices of examining magistrates.

Me Jean Roudy Aly, in his speech for the occasion, said that the inauguration was in line with the policy of the rule of law advocated by the Administration Martelly-Lamothe. He took the opportunity to ask the different actors of justice, to work tirelessly to reduce the rate of pretrial detention in the juridiction.

Note that in the coming days, the MJSP will inaugurate the Courts of Peace Camp-Perrin and Arniquet as well as the Court of Appeals of Les Cayes.
