Haiti Polo Team won its 3rd International Polo Tournament on October 12, 2014. This was a historical win for the team as it was the first time a team from Haiti competed in the most important tournament of Central Argentina, the South American International Polo Championships held in Cordoba, Argentina at the Pompeya Polo Club.

A total of 50 Polo teams from around the Globe competed in five divisions of the championships: Youth, Female, Young Adult (16-19) and the International Professional Championship. The Haiti Polo Team started training in Argentina 2 weeks before the elimination rounds in order to compete in the professional international division from October 7th-12th.

The Haiti Polo team triumphed over Argentina in the final rounds of the tournament by a score of 5-3. Claude-Alix Bertrand, the team captain of of Haitian origin declared "We are humbled to have taken the championship, Haiti this win is for you! Haiti Polo team dedicated this trophy to all Haitian Athletes with the light within who dream someday to win. We are proof you too can do this". The Haiti Polo Team is composed of Haitian-born Captain and Goodwill Ambassador to Haiti Claude-Alix Bertrand, Sebastian Fernandez Jr. (sub for injured Akin Sotomi) Francisco Pizzaro and Mariano Martines (sub for Peter Laughlin).

Haiti polo team will compete in two weeks at the Bentley Polo Championships in Scottsdale, Arizona from October 24th-26th than the team will head to Thailand for the Thai Open from November 11th to November 26th.
