Discussions focused in particular on the cooperation implement in Haiti, including the construction of the high school of regions of France in the city of Des Coteaux where the Guadeloupe Region was chosen as leader of the French Regional Councils, to coordinate the operation; the rehabilitation of the French hospital in Haiti and the support to Haitian administrations.

Moreover, in the field of education, the President Martelly wished the support of the Region Guadeloupe for the continuing education of teachers Haitians so they can update their knowledge. The idea of ​​having recourse to Guadeloupe retired teachers was mentioned.

A delegation of the Regional Council of Guadeloupe could travel to Haiti during the first half of 2015 to take stock of the current funding and that experiencing difficulties in their implementation.

Victorin Lurel also took the opportunity to invite the Head of State of Haiti in May 2015 to attend the inauguration of the "Mémorial ACTe" on the site of Darboussier to Pointe-à-Pitre.
