The General Secretariat of the Presidency informs the population that the consultations undertaken with the political class and civil society since September 22, 2014 by President Martelly in order to find a solution to the pre-electoral crisis, will resume upon his return from his European tour.

The Secretariat thanked all those involved in these meetings, very concerned about the future of the country, as reflected in the various proposals received from either side, pointing out that all these proposals are now the subject of serious analysis. It also transmits to all, the warmest congratulations of the Head of State for this proof of maturity, that can only strengthen Haitian democracy.

Back from his European tour, President Martelly, will continue these consultations with a score of socio-political actors already programmed. Around the 18th November, these consultations will end.

After review and study of the various proposals with his team of technicians and advisers, the President of the Republic will address the Nation.
