Carolyn Désert broke her contract with the Miss Haiti 2014 Committee, an information confirmed in a note from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries / Miss Haïti 2014.

"The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries inform the public in general and interested parties in particular, having taken note of the decision of Miss Haiti 2014, Miss Carolyn Désert to break her contract with the Committee of Miss Haiti. Therefore, no further commitments are binding the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, through the Committee of Miss Haiti, to Miss Désert. So that no one ignores it."

Since the election of Carolyn Desert conflict situations (personal, behavioral, commercial and political) have continued to grow, on the one hand between Carolyn and the Organizing Committee in Haiti and the other hand between the Organizing Committee and franchise holders of Miss World for Haiti : Anedie Azael Doura (25%), partner of the franchise Miss World for Haiti and Chris Puesan (50%), Dominican Miss World franchise holder, Miss International, Miss Supranational for Haiti.

The Committee decided, following various false allegations from Carolyn at the location of the Committee and the attitude of Doura/Puesan, the main source of problems, not to accompany Miss Haiti 2014, in its efforts for Miss World. Being a minority owner of the license to the tune of only 25% (for 5 years) and not wanting to disqualify Miss Haiti 2014, the Committee leaves to the majority holders Puesan and Doura the space to frame Carolyn Désert.

The Committee acknowledges that it has failed in his mission on some points and infinitely regret explaining having "rusted those who have experience in this area, which had different goals from ours..."

Note that Carolyn Desert, Miss Haiti 2014, is an official candidate for the 63rd edition of Miss World 2014, the contest begins on November 20 and the Grand Final will be held on December 14 in London.
