Haiti - Security : Towards the strengthening of security in the country

Friday at the NH El Rancho hotel, Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, accompanied by Jean Renel Sanon, Mnistre of Justice and Public Security, met with Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Haiti, also civil Head of the Minustah, about a plan to strengthen security in the country.

This high-level meeting was also an opportunity for the Head of Government to address the question of career plan of officers of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and to discuss a timetable for the withdrawal of the force United Nations military engaged in Haiti.

Prime Minister Lamothe took the opportunity to highlight the efforts of the Government to establish a secure environment necessary for the development of the country, reiterated the commitment of the Administration Martelly to fight against banditry and crime in all its forms.
