On Wednesday, at the National Palace the President Michel Martelly, received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Spain accredited in Haiti.

This is Mr. Manuel Lorenzo García-Ormaechea, who renewed the commitment of his country to support the President Martelly in its efforts to improve the living conditions of the Haitian population.

For his part, the Head of State has reassured him of his willingness to work to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between Haiti and Spain.

Manuel Lorenzo García-Ormaechea was born June 7, 1948 in Madrid, has held diplomatic posts in Germany, Uruguay, the United States, Jordan and NATO in October it was still Consul General of Spain in Santo Domingo.
