Haiti - Petit-Goâve : The BOD gave a 3-day ultimatum to the Deputy Thimoléon

Saturday, the Management Board of the Bloc of Democratic Opposition (BOD) [affiliated to MOPOD] Acau Rilnor, Louicito Benjamin, Sherlie Tintin, during an exclusive interview with our correspondent of Radio Preference FM gave a three-day ultimatum to the Deputy acques Stevenson Thimoléon to permanently solve the municipal crisis raging for months in Petit-Goâve. After this time, the protests will intensify starting next Tuesday and will continue until January 2015...

"The solution to the local crisis depends largely on the Deputy Thimoléon, this crisis may have already been resolved if Thimoléon had the good will... That he does everything in his power to find a solution to the problem. Just as he advocated dialogue between the three great powers of the state and recommended the compromise as an effective way to solve the pre-electoral crisis nationwide, he could publicly propose a plan for resolution of the crisis of Petit-Goâve.

He could invite, following the introduction of the CTS (Special Technical Committee) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12367-haiti-politic-installation-of-the-special-technical-committee-in-petit-goave.html all the forces of Petit Goâve to dialogue: opposition, the private sector, members of civil society to find a successful outcome to the crisis. Why he did not accept the Cartel proposed by the population? Why he wanted to impose its own municipal Cartel? Why he ignored popular demands?

If he really loves Petit Goâve, why does he refuse to make concessions? Why he did not avoid the deterioration of the local crisis?

For the love of Petit Goâve for the resumption of normal academic and economic activities in the city and to allow the Petit-Goâviens to spend a good Christmas, we, of the BOD, we are ready to discuss, in the presence of the press, the business sector, including members of civil society, with the Deputy Thimoléon for the resolution of the crisis.

We make this proposal as a sign of sacrifice to show our desire to contribute to the resolution of the local crisis. It is up to the Deputy to act. Otherwise, the protest movement will continue until the end."
