Haiti - Petit-Goâve : New Alliance in the opposition, 5 days of protests announced...

Wednesday in Petit-Goâve, a new alliance was formed between the Bloc of Democratic Opposition (BOD) [affiliated to MOPOD] "Rezo Pitit pep", "3 vwa" and the collective of Vialet, to continue the mobilization against the administration of Martelly and against the poor functioning of basic services in Petit-Goâve... https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12873-haiti-social-petit-goave-started-badly-the-new-year.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12828-haiti-petit-goave-end-of-over-3-day-blackout-and-demonstrations.html

During a joint press conference the same day, to the Hotel Impératrice of Petit-Goâve, members of the new alliance have "attacked" the Deputy Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon and denounced the behavior of some entities of the Joint Front Liberation (FML) which, in a press release broadcasted on radio stations in the capital, gave their support to the Prime Minister appointed Evans Paul without the knowledge of the other organizations that comprise the FML. The alliance members have strongly condemned the attitude of a fringe of the FML, which only make unilateral decisions without the consent of its partners.

Meanwhile, the New Alliance announced a series of protests in Petit-Goâve from Thursday 8 to January 12, 2015, to demand: the proper functioning of Notre-Dame Hospital, the recovery of the electricity, the inauguration of the wharf, the departure of the Commissioner Alix Civil and that of the Special Technical Committee who currently heads the Town Hall of the City https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12375-haiti-petit-goave-the-special-technical-committee-is-not-here-to-stay.html

These political activists reject any idea of supporting the Martelly regime and categorically oppose the extension of the mandate of the parliamentarians...
