As part of the project "Promoting dialogue and democratic reform in Haiti," funded by the European Union, the former Mexican President Felipe Calderon and former Bolivian President and Vice-President of the Club of Madrid, Jorge Kiroga will lead from Tuesday 27 to Thursday, January 29, 20, the 4th high Level Mission of the Club of Madrid in Haiti.

While the country is experiencing a constitutional crisis and pre-electoral, the Club of Madrid intends, firstly, to collect various analyzes on the economy and on the other hand, to promote an inclusive dialogue and support the restoration of a climate of trust among the political actors who serve the national interest.

• Advocate for the holding of fair, transparent and inclusive elections in 2015 and share a comparative analysis of the electoral system ;

• Analyze the implications of the current political situation and promote political dialogue and search for consensus between the parties, to reduce the risk of worsening of the current political crisis.

The agenda includes bilateral meetings with key political authorities - including President Martelly, Prime Minister Evans Paul, and with key political leaders of the opposition parties including: Fanmi Lavalas, Organisation of the People Struggling (OPL), Fusion of social Democrats (FUSION), "Ayisyen pou Ayiti", INITE and other important stakeholders in the international community.
