Haiti - Politic : Evans Paul calls the diaspora to redouble efforts

Saturday, Prime Minister Evans Paul received a large delegation from the Haitian community abroad, which performs a special mission of friendship, support and national reconciliation in Haiti.

In his speech, the Head of Government welcomed the contribution of the diaspora to the development efforts of the country especially in the economy and education funding. He also stressed the important contribution of the personalities of the Diaspora to the construction of democracy.

However, Evans Paul calls the Haitian Diaspora to increase their efforts in its contribution to the advancement of the country "We need more structured initiatives to express our gratitude to this dynamic diaspora. I can not imagine the reconstruction and development of Haiti without the involvement of a strong diaspora, proactive and dynamic. Only the involvement of the diaspora can ensure growth and peace in the country [...] The time has come where your skills, your networks, your financial power are needed to rebuild the country, so that it is consistent with the dreams of a more just and prosperous society."
