In a note, the General Secretariat of the Presidency precise to the entire population that during the days of national mourning decreed by the Government (18, 19 and 20 February) to honor the victims of the tragedy that occurred at the Champ de Mars https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13199-haiti-flash-carnival-2015-in-shock-at-least-15-victims-dozens-injured-update-12-28-pm.html at the second day of the carnival parade, the public administration, schools and trade will work as usual.

It is understood that the national flag will be flown at half mast throughout this period. Media are invited to broadcast music and video clips suitable to the occasion. It is also asked to nightclubs and other related institutions to keep their doors closed in the meantime.

The General Secretariat of the Presidency reiterates once again the heartfelt sympathies of the Head of State to the parents and relatives of the victims of the accident on 17 February.
