Thursday at the invitation of Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of Education, a dozen former ministers of education of Haiti, gathered in the Forum, at the Ministry.

The Minister Manigat explained that the Forum was to gather, through their professional lived and experiences, proposalslikely to strengthen the advanced of the educational reform underway, for quality education, noting "It is difficult for a minister for the duration of his term, to be able to bring sustainable solutions, if there is no broad consensus of many sectors of society, and especially if he does not benefit from the experience, the lived of former officials," relying for that, on the back and the critical sense of these ancient responsible for education.

It was discussed among others : of possible involvement of these former officials of the educations in the reform of education, how to solve the problems of the system, the States General of Education, a strategy of education for all, the post 2015 operational plan [The Plan 2010-2015 expires].

In addition, the Minister Manigat wishes hat with him, these former ministers make a plea so that is doubled in the future the budget of National Education "It is necessary to have a much more sustained investment if we want reach a different quality of the Haitian school. I need you, the country needs an education agreement, on this major project that a minister or even a government can not embrace alone." The participants agreed to meet on a monthly basis.

The Minister Manigat, speaks of "a strong message to the Haitian community with this encounter of former ministers of education [...] The Ministry intends to mobilize all the forces of the country to reinvigorate our education system. Our country will not come out of the socio-economic doldrums that eats it without a concerted effort from all his daughters and all his son."

The next meeting is scheduled in a month.
