On the night of Wednesday 25 to Thursday 26 March, a group of seven heavily gunmen intercepted a truck full of goods coming from Port-au-Prince that was heading towards the town of Les Cayes, on the National Road #2 at the locality of Barettes (Petit-Goâve).

After having severely beat the driver, the bandits fled with the truck towards the localy of Fort Royal of Petit-Goâve where they unloaded the goods.

Thanks to the collaboration of Fort Royal residents, the police has arrested two bandits.

We have just learned that some of the stolen goods was recovered by the judicial authorities on the side of Fort Royal.

Petit-Goâve citizens have condemned the action of bandits.
