At the summit, the "Mouvement Internationale pour les Réparation" (MIR) will speak about the complaint of Martinique filed against the French state in 2005, which asks France, 200 billion euros for the harm suffered by the descendants of Martinique slaves.

Furthermore, the "Conseil Représentatif des Associations Noires de France" (CRAN) on behalf of the European Commission for Reparations reiterate its request for restitution of $21 billion for Haiti. Recall that on May 10, 2013, CRAN had sued the French State who had imposed on Haiti a "ransom" colossal equivalent (in today's dollars) of $21 billion, which forced Haiti into debt from 1825 to 1946 to repair the damage alleged that French planters claimed to have suffered at this time https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11299-haiti-justice-the-french-government-assigned-in-the-case-of-$21-billion-paid-by-haiti-1825-1946.html

"Guilt is not hereditary, but the goods are. These acquired assets are ill-gotten gains. The owners are not responsible, but they are beneficiaries. For us it is o establish a dialogue and a balance of power [...]" stressed Louis-Georges Tin, President of CRAN.
