Tuesday, Fresner Dorcin, the Minister of Agriculture Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development and the Ambassadors of Canada and Switzerland accredited in Haiti, initialed an Agreement of 5 million US dollars, in order to expand at the national level the program of Financing System and Agricultural Insurance in Haiti (SYFAAH).

The amount of this agreement brings to nearly $ 26 million the total funding of this tri-partite initiative, which was launched in 2011 and will end in 2018.

Recall that the SYFAAH aims to develop a funding system based on the construction of a partnership between the public sector and the private sector in order to structure, globally, the financial service offer for agro-entrepreneurs with the ultimate goal to revive the agricultural and rural economy, create jobs and improve food security in Haiti.
