After the success two years ago, of a pilot program for municipal capacity building in the North and Northeast (PINNE) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-9894-haiti-politic-16-projects-for-the-great-north-2013-2014.html Dr. Ariel Henry, Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities recently proceeded to Darbonne (Les Cayes) to the officially launches of a training course for staff of the municipalities of the Southern Department.

This falls within the framework of the implementation of the Intervention Program in the South (PISUD) which aims, among others, to strengthen the mastery of communal work in the management of basic services and the organization of urban space.

No less than 91 municipal executives selected by competition for positions : of Director General, Urbanist technicians, Administrative Assistant, Tax Manager, Responsible for public utilities, Tax Agent, Paying Accountant and sociocultural animator benefited from this training.
