Haiti - Culture : «The Native American Nights»

The National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE) in partnership with the Fondation Connaissance et Liberté (FOKAL), the National Library, Editions Mémoire d’Encrier and the Embassy of Canada, is hosting a Native American group from Quebec in its gardens, from 6 to 8 May 2015 for a series of lectures on the theme "the Native American Nights"

These activities aim to restore the passage of the Indians in Haiti once called Quisqueya or Boyo. Will join to this group several artists and novelist known as : Josephine Bacon, Yannik Lahens, Hérold Josué to name just a few ; for round tables in order to reaffirm the importance of these meetings.

Conference of Monique Durand "Blue hour and mystique of the North ". At the crossroads of the essay and poem in prose, the conference of Monique Durand focuses on the theme of the blue hour through the Quebec literature and more specifically the innate literature. This twilight hour contributed to the creation of a true North mystical in the collective imagination.

Screening of the film "Le jour avant le lendemain" A feature film by Marie-Hélène Cousineau and Madeline Ivalu, an adaptation of the novel "Le jour avant le lendemain" of writer Jorn Riel. This film takes place in an Inuit community in the 1940. Screening in presence of the director.
