Haiti - Technology : New exchange platform of inter-institutional data

At the initiative of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) under the leadership of Secretary General of the Primature, in collaboration with the General Coordinator of the OMRH, a working meeting was held at the Primature around the establishment of a government electronic platform called X-Road, a component of the IFMS (Integrated Financial Management System) project, to facilitate the exchange of inter-institutional data and the process of decision making at the highest level of the State.

X-Road is a exchange software information fast and in real time to facilitate, on the one hand, access to government data for making informed decisions and promote the other, the data security that institutions will be asked to exchange between them. It is envisaged in the pilot phase of IFMS project to set up an electronic data exchange platform comprising 12 public institutions by the end of this year (MEF, DGI, AGD, MICT, ULCC, CSCCA, OMRH, MSPP, PNH, OAVCT, MTPTC and MENFP).

Note that the X-Road, which will be replicated in Haiti has already been adopted by several developing countries and is widely regarded as the international standard for electronic data exchange between various institutions of government.

Note that with this software, Haiti will adopt a simplified and secure method in the context of exchanges of information between public institutions, promoting rapid movement of government data already collected.

Note that the implementation of this electronic platform is part of the e-governance component, an important part of administrative reform whose the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) ensures the implementation.
