Entrepreneur of the Year is now in its 6th annual edition and received through the program more than 400 participants who all have persevered and continued their entrepreneurial dreams with a clear vision of what their role was, in the growth of the country.

"Our theme this year is 'Be the leaders of change', because having seen their talents recognized and their businesses grow, it's time for our entrepreneurs to become stewards of change, to become those who lead the next wave of the industry," said Denis O'Brien, Chairman of Digicel and of jury.

"[...] The competition aims to identify, reward and promote entrepreneurs whose initiative can help build the economic foundations of Haiti. It takes 7 essential qualities: competence in business, leadership, transparency, vision, creativity, environmental awareness and ingenuity [...] We noticed that those who took part in the competition in the last five years have become a formidable force for a modern, progressive Haiti - by always demonstrating the above qualities," explained the president of Digicel Haiti adding "They are creating a strong economy, sustainable and scalable business-oriented, trade by trade, but there is no doubt that by providing the means for those who will come after them and taking into account the growing network of former finalists, they can achieve even greater things."

All applications will be reviewed and a preliminary list will be established for interviews. Candidates who pass this stage will be interviewed in their company premises and individual reports will be prepared for the judges. Then will come the second list of 96 regional finalists, 24 from each of the four regions. Of these 96, will emerge the 24 finalists aspiring to the prestigious National title, four in each of the 6 categories of the competition.

The closing date for submission of applications is Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
