Haiti - Politic : New DG at the head of Ministry of Interior

Wednesday, Ariel Henry, the Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT), accompanied by the Secretary of State for the Interior, Patrick Joseph and Major Patrick Henry Bastien, Deputy Director General, proceeded to the installation of Ginot Bonnet, as the new Director General at the head of the Ministry. He takes over engineer Hertz Obas in office since 2012.

In his speech for the occasion, the Minister Henry noted that the new Director General was appointed to the approach of forthcoming elections and also at a time when the majority of interim agents submit their resignation. He urged the new Director General to collaboration and to work towards the creation of a climate conducive to the holding of the forthcoming elections.

For his part, the new Director Bonnet thanked the Head of State and Head of Government of the trust placed in him and also promised to the Minister Henry his full support for the challenges ahead. He also gave the guarantee to employees and executives of the Ministry, he will recognize their competence and dedication to work to strengthen MICT interventions, for better services to local government.
